     Thirsk Island by Raunhofer Description: Winter War ended exactly 70 years ago on this day, 13.3. with the signing of the Moscow Peace Treaty. With the peace treaty, Finland was forced to cede a tenth of its pre-war territories, including cities like Vyborg, Sortavala and Käkisalmi. Additionally, Hanko had to be rented to the Soviet Union as a naval base for 30 years. 430 000 Karelians lost their homes. Thirsk is a story from the borders of Finland and the deceased Soviet Union. If you close your eyes and listen carefully, you can still hear the distant grumble of artillery salvos and infantry shouting "Hurraa!" The area has been under Finland's and Soviet's control, which can be seen from the ruined communist villages and statues. It is time to recall the memories of Thirsk and take up arms for one last time! I have been wanting a good winter map :yes Excellent work! Well done.
Can someone please fix the wind howling sound? Its obvious that its a 5 second sample of the wind blowing that keeps repeating over and over again. When a sample that short is looped over and over, its very discernible. It was starting to sound like music and I've been humming it. Nice map tho.

When I try to unzip to the mods folder using Winrar, it gives me this error. It wont unzip.
What does it mean?
Late discovering of this map, but what a wonderful island ! IMHO, One of the most beautiful winter island for Arma 2, which become awesome with a little ppEffectCreate "colorCorrections" to give a darker, or more "grey" ambiance. Good idea to make some logic for the snowy weather ! Congratulations and thanks for this great job !
any idea how to open this ? I am using ARMA 2 Reinforcements but it always crashed...
Excellent maps. But since 1.6 the winterversion crashes (freezes to be more specific). Anyone else experiencing this?
